Letting Go.

Hey bloggers!

So, during my long absence of blogging, I was thinking about my painting style, techniques, and attitude. Normally, I have my paintings carefully planned out (to the tee) and begin with a precise and neat plan. But lately this has NOT been working for me. I decided it was time to let go. Start something and see where it takes me. I wanted to do something with the melting of crayons, so I sketched this face with Watercolor pencils and crayons, and began dripping, melting, and smearing the melted Crayolas. It turned out SO MUCH better than I had planned and I am so in love. I hope you are too :)

Here's to blogging more often, and letting go of the reins.

p.s. My photo app is Pixlromatic. I am so addicted and it's so easy. :) (plus it's free!)

Crime Scene of Being Sick.

I want to apologize bloggers , for my absence in the doodling/blogging/venting world. This past week, I had many high hopes to start posting close to everyday due to the fact that I now have an iPad (YEAH!) and my ever-growing stacks of sketches and short stories. However, Mother Nature had a different plan and I have been awfully sick all week long. I have not had the energy to do ANYTHING. But I am hoping that after a weekend of recuperation that I will be raring to get doodling and get blogging!
So here is a picture of my crime scene of being sick :) Which involves re-reading the Hunger Games (one of my favorite series), writing no-stop, and catching up on my fashion magazines & addicting reality TV shows. <3
Until I am well,
